Hib = Haemophilus Influenzae Type B

4 in 1 = Diphtheria, Tetanus, Polio, Whooping Cough

Your child will also require a Pneumococcal Vaccine if they are born between September 2nd 2006 and June 30th 2008. The table below shows how many doses your child will require. You will need to contact your GP or practice nurse at the approapriate time to arrange an appointment for Pneumococcal Vaccination for your child.

The National Immunisation Office have produced new materials to explain about the pneumococcal vaccine. You need to read these materials carefully before going for vaccination, if you have any questions you should speak with you GP or Practice Nurse.
